Beginning Your Order:

     1. How does it work?

Yal Market is able to make your online grocery shopping simple in just 4 steps:

  • Place your order at: yalmarket.com.

  • Choose the service (pick-up or delivery) and time slot that works best for you.

  • Your order will be prepared by our staff.

  • Enjoy your order! 

  1. What are the delivery hours for the delivery service?

We deliver between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., however this may vary depending on the area. To see available slot times, you may choose them at the checkout which best suits your preference. Please note that some time slots may be unavailable due to popularity, however will change depending on the date. Thank you for your cooperation! 

  1. Do I need a yalmarket.com account to shop?

You will be able to view and add items to your shopping cart, as well as check-out as a guest. However, by creating an account, you will be able to collect points, receive and manage discounts associated with Yal Market.

  1. Who will be preparing my order?

Your online order will be put together by one of our committed staff members who will properly handle your groceries, for a nice and fresh delivery!

  1. How will my order be stored freshly for pick-up or delivery?

Your order will be stored in recyclable boxes with long-lasting refrigerating ice packs to keep the groceries stay fresh. Any packaged goods will be stored in a recyclable box or bag depending on the order.

  1. How do the fees work for online grocery shopping delivery?

There are no fees for the pick-up orders, but fees may apply for delivery. Please see our Delivery Policy page for more information. 

 

Online Ordering:

  1. Is there a minimum amount to order?

No, there is no minimum amount to order. You are free to order however many items with a pick-up or delivery option. However, if the total amount before taxes of your order is below $50, then you must pay a delivery fee which varies depending on your location (excluding Scarborough and Markham). If the order amount before taxes is above $50, then there will be no delivery fees regardless of where you may reside. Please see the Delivery Policy page for more information.

  1. Can I add special delivery instructions for the online delivery service?

Yes, you can! You can include this information at the checkout when you are entering your delivery address (ie: to have your online order dropped off at your front steps, side door entrance, etc).

  1. Can I cancel my online order?

You may cancel your order within 48 hours. To do so, kindly click on the “Cancel my Order” option in your order confirmation email.

  1. Is it possible that I will not get the items I ordered online?

Although this is a rare case for our items (since it would say “Out of Stock” on our website if the item is unavailable), if there is a case of the item not being available then we will do our best to substitute an item that is similar, with the permission of the customer with a phone call. The pricing for the substituted product will be of the original item or less.

 

Payments:

  1. What payment methods are accepted for online orders?

Accepted payment methods are credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, American Express, Paypal, and eTransfer). 

  1. When will my credit card get charged?

The charge for your order will be made on the day of your online delivery or pick-up.

  1. How will I receive a receipt for my order?

After you made your order online, we will send you a summary of your order with the email you provided.

However, on the day of your scheduled pick-up or delivery, we will send an electronic receipt to your email with the information about your final order. We suggest you keep a copy of this receipt for any future purposes.

  1. If I do not have a credit card/debit card, can I still shop online at yalmarket.com?

   Thankfully, we process your orders online with a variety of payment methods, which include Interac e-transfer and PayPal for your convenience!

 

Pick-up/Delivery:

  1. Would I be able to track my order status?

When it is the day of your scheduled pick-up or delivery (since there are designated times for delivery for all specific areas of delivery), you will receive your delivery at that time. If there are any delays or issues with your delivery, we will give you a phone call to notify you about it.

2. If I am running late to pick up my order or am not at the destination in time for my   scheduled delivery time, what should I do?

If you are unable to be there for your order (whether pick-up or delivery), then you are free to change your selected, scheduled time. You may do this by calling us at 416-267-5551.

  1. Should I tip the driver for my delivery?

You are only required to pay the service fees that are seen at the Checkout. Our delivery drivers are more than happy to offer the best service for your order without any expectations of a tip!

 

Returns and Exchanges:

  1. Is there a return policy for online orders?

Yes there is! If you are unhappy with any items that you receive, then you may kindly return them to Yal Market within 24 hours for groceries and 14 days for packaged goods. Please see Yal Market’s return policy on the Terms and Services page for more information.

  1. If there is an issue with my order for either pick-up or delivery, then what should I do?

Please contact us if there are any issues with your order! You can do so by calling us at 416-267-5551. We will do our very best to help find a solution to any issues or concerns you may have.

 

Online/Technical Assistance:

If you are experiencing online/technical issues, we kindly advise that you contact our customer service team for help at the pop-up box available, or the Contact Us Form that is also available. The hours of operation for the pop-up box is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thank you for your cooperation!
